<br />By using an absorption rate of one hundred eighty (I80) single f~mily units per year, and thirty
<br />(30) units per year for mixed residential units, the absorption rate for mixed residential units, due
<br />to the lack of availability, is a guess with the possibility of the actual absorption rate being quite
<br />different. However, an estimate of 30 units has been used for discussion purposes.

<br />During the last seven years (1989-1995), the City has constructed an average of 51,875 square feet
<br />of space. This average does not include the projects that are set to start in 1996. If these projects
<br />are included, the number rises to 78,766 square feet. Table D below shows the mount of building
<br />space that would be required to build out the commercialfmdustrial property under the three
<br />proposals.
