Goodrich, City Attorney k~J
Ordinances Amending Chapters 5 and 9 with Ramsey city
Code Regarding Parking and Storing Vehicles and Equipment
in Residential Districts
February 1S, 1996

In follow-up of the discussion at the City Council meeting Monday
evening, I want to advise you and the Planning Commission that it
is my opinion that the an ordinance can be adopted which ordinance
provides for different vehicle storage standards inside the MUSA
boundary as opposed to the MUSA boundary. That difference could
be based on the fact that the lot sizes are significantly different
within these two development districts and therefore, different
performance standards can be justified.

In summary, I do not believe it would be discriminatory to impose
different standards because of the different conditions within each
of these development districts.

Please contact me if you need further information on this subject.
