PROPOSED ORDINANCE #96- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMI <br />ZONING <br />OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.02 <br />SECTION! 9.11 "PERFORMANCE STANDARDS", <br />"OFF STREET PARKING" OF CHAPTER 9 OF <br />RAMSEY~ MINNESOTA. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION'. 1. AMENDMENT <br /> <br />NDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE <br />AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE <br /> <br />"DEFINITIONS" AND <br />SUBSECTION 9.11.10 <br />THE CITY CODE OF <br /> <br />Section 9.11'[. 10 (Off Street Parking) is hereby amended to include the following language: <br /> <br />In an_y Residential District, inside parking/storage of licensed md/or unlicensed <br />motc~r vehicles and equipment, commercial or private, shall be permitted. <br /> <br />In a~y Residential District, no outside parking/storage of any motor vehicle or <br />equipment shall be permitted, EXCEPT as follows: <br /> <br />Currently licensed and operable motor vehicles, and one unlicensed and <br />operable motor vehicle, the primary purpose of which is for private <br />transportation or recreational use may be stored in the front yard if on a <br />driveway or in the side or rear yard provided they are parked on a prepared <br />surface that consists of either bituminous pavement, concrete, con bit or <br />prepared gravel. <br /> <br />Equipment, the primary purpose of which is for private or <br />personal/recreational use, may be parked/stored in the front yard if on a <br />driveway or in the side or rear yard. <br /> <br /> Commercial use motor vehicles and equipment may be parked/stored <br /> outside for short-term periods when rendering a service such as loading or <br />i unloading or on a routine or regular basis for long terms under the <br /> following conditions: <br /> <br />The vehicles and/or equipment shall be screened to a degree of 75% <br />at ground level view from adjacent properties and public streets <br />100% of the time while unattended. <br /> <br />The vehicles and/or equipment shall be parked/stored only on the <br />side yard or rear yard of the subject property and said items shall be <br />parked/stored on a prepared surface that consists of either <br />bituminous pavement, concrete, con bit or prepared gravel. <br /> <br />Commercial use vehicles and equipment intended to be <br />parked/stored outside that cannot meet the criteria established in c. 1 <br />and 2 but can provide for alternatives to same, shall be required to <br />obtain an Interim Use Permit. The Interim Use Permit shall be <br />processed utilizing the same fee, escrows and procedures <br /> <br /> <br />
