PROPOSED ORDINANCE #96- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 5 WHICH IS <br />MUNICIPAL REGULATIONS CHAPTER OF THE <br />RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />KNOWN AS THE <br /> CITY CODE OF <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.12 <br />PREMISES" OF CHAPTER 5 OF THE CITY <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> <br /> "CONDITIONS OF <br />CODE OF RAMSEY, <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Section 5. I2.01 (Preamble) (a) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />tn any area zoned for residential purposes, the storage of junk automobiles upon <br />any property is prohibited. For the purpose of this section, the term "junk <br />automobiles" shall include any motor vehicle, part of a motor vehicle or former <br />motor vehicle, stored in the open that is either: <br /> <br />1. unusable or inoperable because of lack of, or defects in, component parts; or <br />2. unusable or inoperable because of damage from collision, deterioration, or <br /> having been cannibalized; or <br />3. beyond repair and, therefore, not intended for future use as a motor vehicle; or <br />4. being retained on the property for possible use of salvageable parts. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />Chapter 5 (Municipal Regulations), Section 5.12 (Condition of Premises), Subsection <br />5.12.01 (Preamble), Item (a) was amended to eliminate 'not currently licensed for use upon <br />the highways of the State' as a criteria for determining a vehicle to be a 'junk automobile'. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. <br /> <br />EFFEI~TIVE DATE <br /> <br />The ordinance becomes effective 30 days after its apssage and pubication, subject to Ciity <br />Charter Section 5.04. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota the day of <br /> ,1996. <br /> <br />ATFEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
