I892 <br /> <br />Describe existing feantre and its condition: <br /> <br />The original flooring was covered with linoleum in a pattern that <br />appears to be from de 1960's. This linoleum would be moved <br />and the underlying ~ood floor would then be restored. The floor <br />currently slants .dram~cally to one side. The original woodwork and <br />some furnishings arq still intact. T~he remainder of the ceiling appears to be <br />in good condition. <br /> <br />Photo No. 4.5.6.7i Drawing No. . <br /> <br />The existing linoleum would be removed and the underlyi: <br />wood floors would be restored to original condition. This m <br />require removal of the damaged sections of floor or ref'misking <br />salvageable sections. The removal of the linoleum floor m~ <br />cause some problems as the adhesive used may require speci <br />handling. The floor joists wilt also be inspected at the time ti <br />building's foundation is replaced to determine any improvemen <br />that need to be done. <br /> <br />Describe work and impact on existing feature: <br /> <br />The City will be removing the added kitchen facilities and repla, <br />the original coat rooms that were located on either side of th~ <br />entryway. The City will also be updating the wiring and heatinl <br />systems to meet current building requirements. The heatinl <br />system will be designed to approximate the original wood stove <br />heating system but will allow for use of new technologies tc <br />improve its efficiency. The original blackboards and woodwork <br />will also be restored along with furnishings that would fit the <br /> <br />Describe work and impact on existing feature: <br /> <br />The ceiling would be restored after the leaks in the roof are <br />repaired. This would result in the damaged sections being <br />replaced and the sections in good repair would be restored to <br />original condition. <br /> <br /> <br />
