Mr. McCarty stated the need to keep the drop~ff traffic counter-clockwise in order for the students <br />to ex~ the car on the passenger side and be at the curb. ,, <br /> <br />Roger Borchard, 5715 148th Lane N.W. - inquired about the distance from home plate to left field. <br /> <br />Mr. McCarty stated they were trying to achieve a 300-foot fenceline. <br />Mr. Borchard stated the map only showed 250 feet. <br /> <br />Mr. McCarty stated that the Park and Recreation Commission requested 300 feet, and an attempt <br />will be made to provide that. <br /> <br />Mr. Borchard also inquired about a buffer area. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik reiterated that there should be a 40 foot buffer to the residential use along the south <br />property line. <br /> <br />Mr. McCarty stated that if it's impossible to obtain 300 feet plus the 40 foot buffer, then they will <br />moVe the ball field, However, the City may agree to go with less than 300 feet. <br /> <br />Mark Boos, City of Ramsey Parks and Utilities Supervisor, stated that the field will be used by the <br />RYAA which includes children through junior high age. He noted the possibility of limiting or <br />prohibiting adult baseball on this field, and therefore, something smaller would be adequate given <br />the age of use. <br /> <br />Mike Heins, 5645 i48th Lane N.W. - inquired about water mn-off. <br /> <br />Mr. Nybeck stated they have not reached the stage where they will pro'v/de a grading and drainage <br /> <br />Gary Grinde, 5655 148th Lane N.W. - inquired as to whether' there is going to be a fence installed <br />along the south property line. <br /> <br />Mr~ Nybeck stated a fence would be put in if the residents desire one. <br /> <br />Linda Grinde, 5655 148th Lane N.W. - stated she would like to see something more than a chain <br />link fence, because people will be able to look through her backyard right into her bay w/ndow. <br /> <br />Al[the residents present stated they would prefer a privacy fence. <br /> <br />M~~. Nybeck did not believe the school would put in a privacy fence. <br /> <br />Mr. McCarty interjected that they would also be putting in trees, probably 6-10 feet in height. <br /> <br />Ms, Frolik suggested possibly compromising the depth of the buffer area and increasing the <br />mount of trees. <br /> <br />Ken Klosterrnan, 5805 148th Lane N.W. - inquired whether any consideration is being given to <br />prtvid/ng toilet facilifies, explaining that he has gotten a pretty, good view of people relieving <br />themselves in his yard. <br /> <br />Mr. Nybeck stated that such is the responsibility of the RYAA or the Park and Recreation <br />C°mrrfission, since it applies to other than daytime use. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/December 6, 1994 <br /> Page 4 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
