Mr. Moss also 'noted there was no reference preventing discrimination of renters due to handicap, <br />race, nationalitiy, etc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Ba;wden stated that such is regulated by State Law. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission proceeded to review the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission discussed the following revisions to the proposed accessory aparunent <br />ordinance: 8.7!.01 (a) should read: "Provide homeowners with a means of obtaining through <br />rental . , ." 8,~1.01 (b) should read "Add rental units to the housing block..." 8.71,01 (c) <br />should read "Mike housing units available to households who might otherwise..." 8.71,03 <br /> <br /> have <br />the option to se/..." 8.71.05 (c) should read "The house must be owner-occupied by someone <br />having at least 5~)% interest..." 8.71.05 (f) should read "The building and property shall remain <br />owner-occupied and shall have only one mailing address." <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to direct City Staff <br />to make the revisions to the proposed accessory apartment ordinance, as discussed, and schedule a <br />public hearing fo~' 7:30 p.m., February 7, 1995. <br /> <br />Motion carried., Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, Hendriksen, <br />Deemer, and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners LaDue and Terry. <br /> <br />Case g7: Monthly Status Report <br /> <br />Commissioner D~mer noted that the staff direction dated 8/2/94 to Attorney Goodrich requesting <br />legal opinion with regard to a Kentucky case in the Zoning Bulletin is still pending. <br /> <br />Case #8: Zoning Bulletin and Zoning News .- <br />Commissioner Deemer noted several pertinent cases. <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />1) Land Use/Transportation Plan Recommendation Submission to City Council <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland inquired as to when the Land Use/Transportation Plan recommendation <br />would be submitted: to City Council. <br /> <br />Zoning AdministratOr Frolik replied that it would most likely go to City Council the fourth Tuesday <br />in January. <br /> <br />The Planrfing Commission directed Ms. Frolik to notify them when this goes to City Council. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Morion by Commissioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adjourn the meetkng. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, C6mmissioners Thorud, Deemer, <br />Hendriksen, and Holland. Voting No: None.
