Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Beahen <br />and Zimmefi'nan. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by ~ouncilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to introduce <br />an ordinanc~rezoning certain property from R-1 Rural Residential and B-2 Business to R-3 <br />Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Request for Site Plan Approval; Case of Independent School <br /> .r District No. 11 <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Anoka Hennepin School District No. 11 is <br />requesting si!e plan approval to construct a 65,000 square foot addition to the Ramsey <br />Elementary Sphool. City sewer and water will be extended to the site to serve the expanded <br />facility. The ~xpansion will include the addition of a 100-space parking lot and extension <br />of the bus drgp-off area. She summarized some of the modifications required for the site <br />plan. She informed Council that Staff and the Planning Commission are recommending <br />approval of the site plan contingent upon compliance with these modifications. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin inquired if the District had agreed to all 'of the modifications requested to <br />which Ms. Fr01ik replied yes. <br /> <br />Those present were Mr. Dick Nybeck of School District No. 11, Brian McCarty of KKE <br />Architects and Mr. Tom Dykhoff of Adolphson Peterson. <br /> <br />Mr. Brian McCarty of KKE Architects summarized the building and site plans. <br /> <br />Motion by C0~uncilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to grant <br />approval to th~ site plan for the expansion of Ramsey Elementary School contingent upon <br />modifying the !site plan to include concrete curbing, parking lot lighting and mails, and the <br />submittal of an~:acceptable drainage plan. <br />Motion carrie. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson <br />and Zimmerm.fi._n. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: ~Curbside Recycling Contract Extension <br /> <br />City Adminis~ator Schroeder stated that the City's CurbSide Recycling contract is set to <br />expn'e on June i~30, 1995. When the Cxty Counml approved th~s contract ~n March 1994, it <br />also requested the ability to extend the contract until the end of 1995. He stated he intends <br />to go out for Bids for recycling service for 1996; therefore, it will be brought back to <br />Council at an Ax.a. gust meeting. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman requested action on this prior to August. <br /> <br />City Council/January i0, 1995 <br /> Page 13 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
