The review will be completed on a timeIy manner so flmt~.~the construction operations will not be delayed. If necessary, change orders will be prepared for ¢ ~l~mnges in scope of work. The City will be notified immediately of pending change orders in orderito receive the City's input to the change order. After a change is deemed necessary, a written chan/~e order will be prepared for approval. On an agreed tt~°°n periodic basis, estimates of the value of work completed to date will be prepared indic.~ug the approximately quantities of work completed under each item of work. A registered professional engineer will be responsible for the completion of the above tasks. TASK2-TECHNICALSERVICES A. Provide c~nstruction staking and inspection: RLK will provide construction staking and inspection to insure that the sewer and wa~rmain are constructed in ~c. cordanee to the plans and specifications. Some of the important responsibilities and tasks ofth~'inspection will be: Review the progress of the construction work and bring to attention o£the contractor any unsatisfactory ~r incomplete work. Ensure that the f'°ntractor provides the necessary traffic control in accordance with the latest edition of the ~esota Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Observe eonstniction operations and schedule compaction testing to insure that backfill material is compacted to thig~ acceptable density as specified in the specifications. "Weekly conS~_etion Diary and Statement of Working Days" will be completed and submitted no later than five ci!~ endar days following the work covered by the report, RLK will hold W, eekly construction meetings with the contractor, subcontractors and other interested partie~. This meeting will serve to coordinate all construction activities and insure that the constructaontproceeds at the established schedule. Changes made d_uring construction will be shown in red on a set of blue line plans and will be current at all tin~. Final as-built drawings will be prepared upon completion of the project and submitted showiitg actual layouts, alignments: inverts and grades. B. Obtain nec~sa~ soil borings: GME Consultants will provide the required soils investigation. RLK Associates will work with the City and propert~r owners so that soil borln~ would be obtained during the winter months for the sanitary sewer li~ e. This is being proposed so there is less disturbance to the wetlands and less disruption to the property owners.
