Each ~IDDER is responsible for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS. The failure or omission of a BIDDER to complete any of the foregoing shall in no <br />way mi/eve a BIDDER from any obligation with respect to the BID. <br /> <br />The successful BIDDER shall supply the names and addresses of major material SUPPLIERS and <br />SUBCONTRACTORS if requested to do so by the CITY. <br /> <br />In the event that additional WORK is needed and the lowest responsible BIDDER is unable to <br />perform the WORK, the additional WORK will be offered to the next lowest responsible BIDDER. <br />The NOTICE TO PROCEED shall be issued within ten (10) days of the execution of the <br />CONTRACT by the CITY. Should there be reasons why the notice to proceed cannot be issued <br />withig such a period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the CITY and the <br />selected BIDDER. If the NOTICE TO PROCEED has not been issued within a ten (10) day period <br />or the period mutually agreed upon, the selected BIDDER may terminate the CONTRACT without <br />further liability on the part of either party. <br /> <br />The selected BIDDER will be required to execute the CONTRACT and obtain the required <br />insurance certificates within ten (10) calender days from the date the notice of award is executed by <br />CITY-, In the case of failure of the selected BIDDER to execute the CONTRACT, the CITY may at <br />its option consider the selected BIDDER in default, in which case, the CITY may award the BID <br />to the next lowest responsible BIDDER. <br /> <br />The CITY, within ten (10) days of receipt of the acceptable INSURANCE CERTIFICATES and <br />CO--CT signed by the selected BIDDER, shall sign the CONTRACT and return to such party <br />an executed duplicate of the CONTRACT.
