He advised that the topography map <br /> shoWs much of Mr. Leonard's yard to be at the same delineation of the adjacent wetland <br /> accdunting for the sponginess, however, he added that the wetland cannot be drained to make it <br /> lower than the elevation of Mr. Leonard's yard. <br /> <br /> Mr.~nard also commented on the size of the backya.n~ in this subdivision, noting that they may <br /> be able to sell them the first time, but as he is in real estate, he would find it difficult for resale. <br /> <br /> Co~ssioner Deemer noted his concern about the ponding area near Lots 7, 8, 11, and 12. <br /> Mr;'Jankowsld proceeded to outline the drainage system. <br /> <br />Mr~Leonard inquired whether the area residents are just stuck with the fact that the Ordinary High <br />waler mark is in error. <br /> <br /> Comra~ssioner Deemer stated that unless its proven otherwise, they are stuck with it. <br /> <br /> ? <br />Mr, Leonard reiterated that he didn't feel there had been excess rainfall this last summer and yet the <br />water level has been high; it simply is not working. <br /> <br />-1~:~ Jankowski suggested that there might be some sediment in the storm sewer that's affecting it, <br />so thc City will have it cleaned. <br /> <br />Mrl Leonard cautioned proceeding with this plat, stating that an additional 34 more homes to this <br />area is not going to improve the situation. <br /> <br />Blgne Edmundson, 4937 142nd Lane N.W. - stated that he owned 20 acres on the comer of 153rd <br />AVenue N.W. and HighWay #47, and he expressed concern that the drainage would affect his <br />property. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> ? <br /> <br />MOtion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to adjourn the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Mption carried.
