In the event the Chief of Police, or any member of the <br />City Police for~e designated by the Chief of Police, notifies any licensee not to sell any property <br />received on deposit or purchased by the licensee, or not to permit the same to be redeemed, the <br />licensee shall npt sell nor permit such property to be redeemed until such property is released in <br />writing by the Chief of Police, or designate. No personal property deposited with or purchased by <br />any licensee sh~l be sold or penuitted to be redeemed from the place of business of licensee until 5 <br />days after the cppy of the records required by §7.13.04 have been made available to the Chief of <br />Police, except upon written permission of the Chief of Police. <br /> <br />'7.1 3.0 7 ~edemption Period. Any person who pawns an item shall have at least 30 days <br />to redeem the item before it may be sold. <br /> <br />7.13.08 Prohibited Transactions. No pawnbroker shall purchase or receive on deposit <br />or pledge anything of value as security for a loan of money from any person, male or female, <br />under 18 years ~f age, nor knowingly from personal under the influence of any chemical substance <br />or those of unsound mind. <br /> <br />7.13.09 Itours of Operation. From 9:00 p.m. Saturday to 7:00 a.m. Monday, no <br />property shall b~ received as a pledge or purchase by any pawnbroker;, nor shall any property be <br />sold during saidihours by any pawnbroker, nor on any other day before 7:00 a.m., nor on any day <br />after 9:00 p.m. CFurther, no pawnbroker may be open for business on any legal holiday or on a <br />Sunday. <br /> <br />7.13.10 Denial, Suspension or Revocation of License. Any license under this <br />Section may be ~tenied, suspended, or revoked for any of the following reasons': <br /> <br /> a; The use conflicts with the City Zoning Code; <br /> bi The use conflicts with any health, building, building maintenance or <br /> provisions of this code or state law; <br /> ci The applicant has failed to comply with one or more provisions of this <br /> Section; <br /> d l Fraud, misrepresentation, or bribery in securing a license; <br /> <br /> e. Fraud, misrepresentation or false statements made in the course of the <br /> applicant's business; <br /> f.~ Violation, within the preceding five years, of any law relating to theft, damage <br /> or trespass to property, sale of a controlled substance, or operation of <br /> business. <br /> <br /> g. At any time when three Pawnbroker's licensed premises arc operating within <br /> the City. <br /> <br />7.1 3.12 VJ¥ification of Identification of PropertY. All employees of a pawn shop <br />shall verify the i{lentification information of any pawned property by personal inspection of the <br />property to determine any serial number or other identification information on the property. <br /> <br /> <br />
