Couneilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-02-XXX AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ONE RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND COMMERCIAL TURF MOWER '~ WHEREAS, included in the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget is $26,500.00 for the purc~se of one commercial tuff mower, and ? WHEREAS, on January 24, 1995 the Finance Committee recommended that bids be solic£ted for one commercial tuff mower, and : WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the Rarnsey City Council on January 24, 1995 authorizing the advertisement for bids for the the commercial turf mower, and tuff WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the purchase of one commercial ~ower, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on February 17, 1995; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: Bidder North Star Tuff Inc. Midwest Specialty Sales Amount of Bid bidder. $32,597 (new mower) no bid (demo model) $25,900 (new mower) $24,400 (demo model) AND WHEREAS, it appears that Midwest Specialty Sales is the lowest responsible NOw THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF)RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 2)_ That the Parks/Utilities Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement for the purchase of the specified demonstration commercial turf mower. That the Finance Officer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder shall be retained until the product is delivered and accepted by the City of Ramsey.
