Schroeder, City Administrator

CASE # 5

Background:

On Fcbruar~.~ 28, 1995, Council authorized $23,769 in Community Development Block
Grant (CDB .G) funds toward historical preservation. The intent was as the local match for
a Minnesota_~Iistorical Society funding request to refurbish the old town hall.

There was a ~liscussion regarding appraising the value of the old town hall parcel. Attached
is the letter {without attachments) requesting a quote for this work of Herman Appraisal
Services. Ellen Herman verbally responded that the cost of the request would be between
$1,500 and $2,000. '

It should be rioted that it is the staff expectation that at least part of the Historical Society
'
funding w~ll~ be received. Further, that as discussed on February. 28, the Economic
Developmenl~Authority would be the suggested source of the appraisal funds.

Council Action:

Based on discussion.

Reviewed by:

City Administrator
Zoning Admin~trator
Economic Development Coordinator
Finance Officer

CC: 03/28/p5

lq/
