Mr.3chroeder reported that AFSCME has requested that the Personnel Committee take up the issue of the organizational chart. The Personnel Committee also voiced their desire to diSCuss the chart. This will be done at the Mas'eh meeting. Mri;Schroeder informed the Council that the Personnel Committee ratified the action of h~g Police Officer Gary Voit, who is expected to begin employment with the City on Fe~ary 27, 1995. MOtion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to ratify such action of the Personnel Committee. M6fion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Peterson an~ Zimmerman. Voting No: None. .: M~YOR AND COUNCIL INPUT 1) Council Workshop/Comprehensive Plan ~. Schroeder suggested that Council may wish to schedule a workshop prior to the C6mprehensive Plan Public Hearing. ? COnsensus of the Council was to conduct a workshop at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, March 6, I~95 to discuss the comprehensive ptan and a second workshop at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, March 13, 1995, to discuss items such as awarding engineering services contract, modifying the assessment policy, etc. 2:) Authorize Option Agreement lVlr. Schroeder stated that in the past, interest has been expressed in purchasing a 10.8 acre Parcel along Sunfish Lake Boulevard for a potential industrial user. While the proposed ~anufaeturer has not committed to a Development Agreement as yet, he asked Council to ~uthorize to option the property to ensure that the parcel is available for consideration. The ~e is proposed at $500. ~otion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to authorize the optional agreement for Lot l, Block 1, Ramsey 67 Industrial Park, Second &ddition. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman, ~eahen and Beyer. Voting No: None. 3) Wendell's Property Closing ~. Schroeder informed Council that the closing for the Wendell's property was scheduled ~or 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 1995. ;:4) Update/City of Ramsey versus Larry Hoimberg ~City Attorney Goodrich stated that the local district court granted in part and denied in part :.to have the Adult Bookstore business moved from its site. We were denied the motion for an injunction to have the property moved. The judge was not certain studies we relied on i were relating to non-consumption type businesses. The owner changed the business by closing the viewing booth so that made a difference to what we relied on. We will be moving for a re-hearing probably in the next 30 to 60 days.
