Cou~cilmembcr introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-05- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CITY-WIDE CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM TO ACE SOLID WASTE, INC. WHEREAS, the City Council approved and authorized the advertisement for bids for the City:Wide Curbside Recycling Program at their February 14, 1995 meeting; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is required, under the SCORE legislation, to provide curbside recycling service to all City residents; and ~ WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids regarding the City-Wide Curbside RecYcling, the City has received the following bids: Bidder ~ Walters Recycling and Repair Service ACE Solid Waste, Inc. Additional Material: Textiles . Boxboard Aerosol Cans WHEREAS~ Year 1 Year 2 $2.52 $2.58 $1.27 $1.27 $ .08 $ .08 $ .06 $ .06 $ .02 $ .02 it appears that ACE Solid Waste, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF~RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: £ 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with ACE Solid Waste, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the prevision of City-wide curbside recycling service for a period from January 1, 1996 to December 31, 1997 for $1.27 per household. 2) ~ That the contract documents be amended to include the following additional products: a) Aerosol cans ~ b) Boxboard c) Textiles for an additional charge of $. t6 per household for the duration of the contract.
