Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The affected parties by this case are the entire full-time, part-time and paid on-call Staff of <br />the City of l~.amsey. On February 8, 1995, the Fire Board received a proposed policy <br />affecting onl~ Fire Department personnel. The Fire Board was again updated on April 12, <br />1995. On A~bril 20, 1995, the Department Heads received a copy of the enclosed draft <br />policy. At thi~. point, no other personnel have formally seen this proposal. <br /> <br />At the request of the Fire Board, I have prepared the attached Drug and Alcohol Policy <br />which is intended to address the entire staffing of the City of Ramsey. Further, the desire <br />is to have a p~liey in place wherein suspected or confirmed employee substance abuse has a <br />predeterminec~, procedure. <br /> <br />At this point; I have received input from the Fire Chief that he would like a signature <br />provision ad,led to the attached document.
