(Please excuse the typing.) f,%~ ?~/~o17,
I generally ~gree withiteme contained in Four Memorandum of Ma~gth,
espeo&ally extendi~g the recommendations to include co~mon," trenching and street
narrowing, but I ~till h~ve a few areas of concern.

1. The Clt~ needs ~o be very careful about getting involved with or ent~nglea
in disputes that ~ay arise between a builder and his buyer over lost or damaged
tr~es. The last ~hing the city wants is to become a party to a lawsuit b~cause
it somehow faile~ito protect the buyer.

2. City negds to make sure that the process' is reasonably responsive,
and that decision? can be made quickly and with a certain consistency.
3. At the ~ebruary 21st meeting I suggested the example of a two acre lot
with several building sites, some of which would, if a home were built there,
result in the lo~s of trees. What imput would the City have in deciding which
site was chosen ~

4. The utility of requiring an inventory of individual ~rees or stands of
trees seems to d~pend on size of lot, extent of tree coverage,'tre~',speoies involved
and cost ~

Pleasm kee~ me informed on these matters.

Thanks

Dennis

Developed by North Fork, Inc,
~13 Bradford Ave. No., Champlln, MN 55316 - ,121-71q7 · Sales - 420-8281
[
