traffic signal interconnected to the Highway 10 s~grml should be reviewed. Traffic volumes on Highway 10 will increase until a new bridge across the Mississippi River is constructed. This volume will create a low level of set, rice at the intersection with Thurston Avenue. The City should review potential problems with Mn/DfYr and look for ~m~nporar~ measures to alleviate the interim problems. Ultimately, at least one four-way stop controlled intersection could be installed on Thurston Avenue, probably at McKinley Street Ultimately, a second may have to be installed. Tr~c should be monitored and delays measured prior to installation of a four-way stop.' Attempts to divert traffic from Highway 47 to Thurston Avenue should be curtailed. Enterprise Park and the area in Ramsey will generate enough traffic to create heavy flow on Thurston Avenue. A traffic counting program should be set up along Thurston Avenue and McKinley Street to monitor traffic growth in the area. Enterprise Boulevard and McKinley Street should be combined to a loop within Enterprise Parr The continuation of McKinley Street to the east should be a "tee" intersection at this loop road. There should be little impact on traffic in the residential area to the east with the exception of McKinley Street. As volumes grow, individual businesses within the park may wish to look at a traffic management control strategy, such as staggering working hours between the various bcdldings or wiflxin buildings.
