INTRODUCTION <br />On May 9, 1995 Ramey City Council approved the final plat for River's Bend 4th <br />Addition. The developers have petitioned to have the streets and utilities installed as <br />a pudic improvement and this feasibility study was ordered by the City Council on <br />May 23, 1995. The purpose of this feasibility study is to identify those improvements <br />which will be undertaken as Project #95 -17, and to identify the cost associated <br />therewith. This report will also address the distribution of those costs among various <br />funding sources and .provide an estimate of the assessments to be levied on the <br />benefitted properties. <br />This project is located within the Southern Half of Section 25, Township 32 North, <br />Range 25 West, City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota. The project area is <br />illustrated in Exhibit A. <br />Sanitary Sewer <br />At the present time, a ten inch sanitary sewer is present at the intersection of Xkimo <br />Street NW and 143rd Avenue NW. It is proposed to extend the ten sewer northerly <br />to the end of Xkimo Street NW and install eight inch laterals on the 143rd Lane NW <br />and the Xkimo Court NW cul -de -sacs. Four inch service lines will be provided for the <br />residential lots and six inch service lines will be provided for the future commercial <br />lots. The proposed sanitary sewer improvements are shown on Exhibit A. <br />Watermain <br />A ten inch watermain is presently available to the project site at the intersection of <br />1 43rd Avenue NW and Xkimo Street NW. Water service will be provided to the <br />project by extending the ten inch main northward along Xkimo Street NW. The <br />watermain will be terminated at a point beyond the paved section of Xkimo Street <br />NM Six inch watermains will service 143rd Lane NW and Xkimo Court NW lying <br />east of Xkimo Street NW. One inch copper water services will be stubbed out for all <br />15 residential lots. Six inch water mains will be extended to the west side of Xkimo <br />Street NW for the future commercial lots. These six inch watermains will facilitate <br />hydrants at two locations on the west side of Xkimo Street NW and will also provide <br />an opportunity for future commercial lots on the west side of Xkimo Street NW to <br />obtain water service without disturbing the street improvements within Xkimo Street <br />NW.
