Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Cook to recommend that City <br />Council accept the 4proximate 27 acre parcel for park, drainage and open space purposes, and, to <br />recommend a minimum of 12 feet (Hakanson Anderson is planning for 15 feet) of high ground, <br />' suitable for paved tail development, to be included within the parcel to encompass the wetland(s), <br />and, to recommend that the issue of an On -Road "B" trail system be resolved concurrent with the <br />site plan approval, aid, to recommend a general agreement for the picnic site's improvement also <br />' be addressed at the t me of site plan approval. <br />Motion carried. V ting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl, Cook, Johns and <br />Henn. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Osborn and Skinner. <br />Case #2: INSPECT CENTRAL PARK <br />' The Commission togred Central Park with Parks/Utilities Supervisor Boos explaining equipment <br />uses, funding required for new equipment, and acquisitions such as the removeable fencing around <br />ballfields, etc. <br />' Mr. Dave Baak, Pregident, Ramsey Youth Athletic Association (RYAA), joined the group at the <br />end of the inspection to thank the Commissioners for the work done on the park and to compliment <br />' Mr. Boos and his grew for maintaining the park so well. He indicated there have been <br />compliments from other cities who have used the park this year. <br />Mr. Schroeder said �e was very happy to hear that RYAA was pleased with the park especially <br />' after the concerns voiced last year. <br />Case #3: RECOMMEND PARK DEDICATION FOR RIVER /47 PLAZA <br />Rum River Properties is requesting a minor subdivision to subdivided 6.5 acres into three <br />' commercial lots with a private road access to County Road #116 and Trunk Highway #47. <br />The Park and Trail Plan does not indicate park needs related to this property. <br />' Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Johns to recommend that park <br />dedication for RiverA7 Plaza be satisfied in cash with the exact amount decided concurrent with <br />sketch plan approval; <br />' Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Asfahl, Cook, Johns and <br />Henn. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Osborn and Skinner. <br />' Case #4: RECOMMEND PARK DEDICATION FOR RIVERVIEW BOWL <br />' Superbowl, Inc. is requesting a minor subdivision to re -plat six commercial lots into one <br />commercial lot and tWo urban residential lots. <br />' Park dedication was �paid on the commercial lots in 1976. Park dedication is due on the two new <br />residential units created. <br />Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Cook to recommend that City <br />' Council accept $966 for park dedication for the two new lots created (crediting the amount paid in <br />1976 for the commercial lots), and that the equivalent of one, two -inch tree, of an approved <br />species, be required ,or both lots as a condition of occupancy. <br />' :Park and Recreation Commission /June 8, 1995 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
