Hakanson <br />' <br />since the sanitary se <br />sewer planned for tl <br />site work for the Jim <br />' <br />proposed increases : <br />asked Mr. Raatikka i <br />CASE # �q <br />AMEND ENGINEERING CONTRACTS <br />FOR EXPANDED SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br />93, the City accepted a proposal from Hakanson- Anderson, Inc., for <br />for the design of Sunwood Drive, Project #94 -16. On September 26, 1994, <br />proposal from Hakanson - Anderson, Inc., for engineering services for the <br />water extensions to service Anoka Electric Cooperative's new facilities, <br />engineering services for both of these projects were awarded on the basis of <br />mum cost. Since the time of award the scope of both of these projects has <br />a modification of the existing not -to- exceed maximum. In the case of the <br />;ct, the final design now requires the installation of a 100 -foot long bridge <br />In the case of the Anoka Electric Cooperative project, the recent development <br />iercial subdivision along T.H. #10 required the extension of sewer and water <br />Anderson was the logical choice to perform the design work on this project <br />Ner would be a natural extension of the Anoka Electric Cooperative trunk <br />north side of the railroad tracks. In addition, this firm was performing the <br />Deal development. Attached are letters from Mr. Pete Raatikka outlining the <br />i the not -to- exceed contract price. These costs appear reasonable. I have <br />be available to discuss these proposals. <br />i <br />Additional fundingl the work on Project #94 -16 will be available from the City's MSA <br />construction fund al ation. Additional funds for Project #94 -20 will be generated from monies <br />contributed by deve opers as specified in the development agreement and from the City's sewer <br />and water trunk fun s. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends amendment of existing agreements with Hakanson- Anderson to increase the <br />not - exceed cost oh both of these projects in accordance with these June 22, 1995 proposals. <br />Council Action: <br />Recommend to Cit' Council amendment of existing agreement to modify the Engineering <br />Contracts for Project#94 -16 and #94 -20. <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br />CC:6/27/95 <br />-gal <br />
