All waste is proposed to be stored indoors until such time as it is transferred toithe clubhouse dumpster. There will be no aqCess to the mair~tenance building from public roads; access will be via the existing dirt path frc~, the clubhouse area, running south and parallel with Hwy. g47. Elimination of golf carts crossing Hwy. g47 to get to the existing maintenance building on the west side of that highway will improv~e vehicular safety. In a telephone conv~safion with Mr. Schmldt on July 17, City Staff was informed that the only issue not agreed upOn between himself and the golf course was the roof material. Mr. Schmidt is requesting an asphal~t shingle roof and the golf course has proposed a metal roof. Recommendatiom The Planning Commission recommend approval of the amendment to the development plan and a site plan acceptable ~ Mr. Schmidt, the applicant and City Code. City Staff recommends approval of the amendment to the development plan. City Staff recommends approv~al of the site plan with the following modifications: a) reposifion the building 10 feet east to meei the requirement for a 20 foot landscape area adjacent to the Hwy. g47; b) reinstate the treed ~rm along Hwy. g47 using some of the trees proposed for the south and east sides of the building to screen the building and above ground fuel storage tanks from the public right of way; and e) ~ constructing the building with an asphalt shingle roof. Approve/de ~y site plan approval to the Rum River Hills golf course maintenance building contingent t~pon entering into a development agreement with the City and in accordance with the recommendations of City Staff.
