Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #95-07-._ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION; RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMEN~ PROJECT #95-15 (CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER, <br />WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER AND STREETS TO SERVICE FOX KNOLL) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #95-06-139 authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for Re above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHERE~S, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of sanitary sewer, <br />watermain, storm ~ewer and streets to service Fox Knoll, bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according to law oh July 21, 1995; and <br /> <br />WHEREP~S, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />H & M Asphalt <br />Barbarosstt & Sons <br />Nodland Cbnstmction <br />Northdale Construction <br />Dresel Contracting <br />S. Henl~ges & Sons <br />Bonine ExOavating <br />Volk Sewel' & Water <br />Ryan Contracting <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$120,636.50 <br />$133,901.75 <br />$150,713.00 <br />$151,858.33 <br />$153,959.85 <br />$154,524.00 <br />$156,556.75 <br />$160,279.50 <br />$178,804.40 <br /> <br />$127,200.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that H & M Asphalt is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract w[th H & M Asphalt in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and streets to service Fox Knoll in the amount of <br />$120,636.50. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposil~s made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> anti upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following Voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
