I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 9, 1995, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Presant: Mayor Glen Hardin <br /> Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br /> ' Councilmember Shells Beyer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />CouncilmembCr Beyer called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at <br />6:04 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilmemb~r Beyer requested that the Personnel Committee meet in a closed executive <br />session for a p~ ssible disciplinary action against an employee. <br /> <br />The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 1995, with all <br />Councilmeml~rs invited to attend. A tentative date of Monday, May 15, 1995 for 5:00 <br />p.m. was also l~uggested. <br /> <br />Motion by CoUncilmember Beahen and seconded by Mayor Hardin to approve the agenda <br />as presented. , <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmember Beahen and Beyer. Voting <br />No: None. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Case #1: IEducation Policy/Tuition Reimbursement <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder summarized the proposed education policy/tuition <br />reimbursementlpolicy and asked the Committee for input. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin~noted #3 which reads "Reimbursement for 50% of the cost of tuition and <br />books of college level courses which the Council deems are job-related and are a benefit to <br />the employer, iHe wasn't sure that the City really benefits from the books and suggested <br />adding money to the tuition reimbursement instead. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin noted the sentence "Council deems City-related" and asked if that should be <br />everyone or should it be streamlined. <br /> <br />Personnel Committee/May 9, 1995 <br /> Page I of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
