REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br />T.H. #47 Access and Corridor Study <br /> <br />The City of Ramsay is seeking consultant services for the development of an access and corridor <br />study for Trunk I-qghway 047. The consultant selected for this project would provide assistance in <br />traffic engineering and in the development of a transportation plan for the management of access <br />and highway imp.~'ovements on this segment of highway. If interested in this project, please <br />document your response in the form of a technical proposal. Outlined below is the project Request <br />for Proposal. TMs request for proposal does not obligate the City of Ramsey to complete the <br />project, and it resetrves the right to cancel the solicitation if it is considered to be in its best interest. <br /> <br />Scope of Project: <br />This project will require the consultant to study and develop a transportation plan <br />that will be used by MnDOT Metro Division, Anoka County, and the City of <br />Ramsey inlthe decision making and planning of the operation and development on <br />the segment of Trunk Highway #47 for a 3.5 mile segment between C.R. #116 and <br />167th Avenue N.W.. The project scope will include a study of the existing <br />conditions~relating:[ to planning, review of existing and likely land uses along the <br />study segrgent, development of guidelines and recommendations for managing <br />access along the corridor, and identifying design improvements for intersections <br />and roadv0ay segments. Environmental impacts and constraints will also be <br />identified.i The final report will summarize the study findings, prepare cost <br />estimates, make recommendations for policies and implementation. The report will <br />be distributed to MnDOT, Anoka County and Met Council for comment prior to <br />finalization. <br /> <br />Co <br /> <br />,Goals and Objectives: <br /> <br />The goal of this project is to provide a final report that will include the data gathered, <br />documentai_tion on the development of the alternatives and their analysis, and any <br />other mateiSals, information and conclusions found in the work plan summarized <br />above in th~ project scope. <br /> <br />Project Re~.r~nsibilities and Tasks: <br /> <br />The major tasks to be accomplished include, but are not limited to the following: <br /> <br />Data Collection · Idet~tify functional classification and current level of service <br /> · Ide,ntify speed limits and compare with actual speed <br /> · Prepare 5-year accident history <br /> · Identify location of private accesses, <br /> · Identify substandard sections with regard to sight distance, and highway <br /> geometrics <br /> <br /> <br />
