Density and traffic are sure to warrant that pedestrians have a safe east/west route south of Highway #10. In addition, connection to the City !of Anoka's Cutter's Grove Park may be possible off from Rivlyn Avenue. The segmentieast of Dolomite will need to serve as the Mississippi River trail, and thus may be eligible f~or funding assistance (see item #17). Boulevai'd trees for Riverdale are proposed as a TIF project and is directly related to the prera~ise described above. In today's dollars, a $10,000 expenditure would fund about 50 trees.! Commu~nity Park and Trail Improvements could involve Alpine, Central, Lake Itasca, oi' River's Bend Park. Emphasis (depending on turn of the century priorities) may be for tl~e first stage development on the Trott Brook Trail system or acquisitions. An $80,000 ~xpenditure is proposed from the Landfill Trust Fund. $80,000 in Landfill Trust Funds should be directed to community park needs this year as well. i Alpine Park or Central Park will be the likely recipient. For some time, the CommisSion's Park & Trail Plan has shown a community park north of 160th Lane in the Oak Parl{. District. More analysis will be conducted. The above funds could be used for park acqdisition/development in this area, if it is deemed a priority. Projected about the year 2001 would be residential development west of Ramsey Boulevai'd. The neighborhood park include a connection to a trail along PUma Street to the Lake Itasca recreation system would also be a tremendous resource to urban dwellers,las well as stretching the estimated $75,000 Park Trust Fund budget.
