Hart, Finance Officer Background: When the 1995. time it was kno malfunction. T three were foun~ new light bar w~ quads were put into service they received equipment from the old squads. At that ~,n that the light bar that was put on squad #203 was starting to show signs of tis past week one of the four rotating lights on this light bar broke and the other to be loose. It would cost approximately $300.00 to repair this light bar while a uld cost approximately $619.00. The light bar is :well over five years old and in the opinion of Sergeant Gustafson, is not worth putting the repa!.r costs into when it would cost half the price of a new bar to repair the old one. Therefore it is r~quested that the old light bar, which is a StreetHawk, be replaced with an All- Light light barimade by Federal Signal. This brand is an improvement over the existing StreetHawk bar~ and would serve at least as well as the present ones. This bar would cost $619.00 plus shaping and installation. With the influx i~ building revenues, due to activity and the approved 1995 fee increase, there will be adequate rev ~nue to fund this budget amendment. Staff Recomniendation: Staff recommem light bar on sqt installation. Is Committee approval of a budget amendment to replace the existing StreetHawk ad #203 with an All-Light light bar at a cost of $619.00 plus shipping and Committee Action: Motion to recommend City Council adopt the Resolution Authorizing Amendment to the 1995 Adopted General~.~ Fund Budget for the Purchase of One Replacement Light Bar for Squad #203.
