Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-09- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR LIGHT BAR FOR SQUAD #203 AMENDMENT TO THE 1995 ADOPTED THE PURCHASE OF ONE REPLACEMENT WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee 'meeting of September 12, 1995, staff preSented a request for the replacement of one light bar for squad #203; and WHEREAS, the purchase of this light bar was not originally authorized in the 1995 Adopted General Fund budget; and WHEREAS, the purchase of one replacement light bar for squad #203 is necessary for the proper and safe operation of the squad; and WHEREAS, it has been determined to be more cost effective to replace this light bar rather than expend monies for repairs; and WHEREAS, the cost of a new light bar is approximately $619.00 plus shipping and installation; and WHEREAS, the funding is available through increased revenues for 1995 in the General FUnd; and ~ WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends that Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed in this resolution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of replacement light bar for squad #203 at a cost not-to-exceed $619.00 plus shipping and installation. That the City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget as detailed within this resolution.
