As the reports indicate, the City issued 12 building permits for the month. This compares to the projected 13 permits for this period. At this pace, the City should complete 216 new homes for 1996 compared to{the projected 180. If this number is correct, the City will need to construct only 407 new homes b~ the end of 1999 to achieve the growth projected by the Metropolitan Council for the City of Ramsey. A many of you are aware, in addition to the number of new home permits issued, the value of those homes directly affects the planning that the City does for future budgets and funds available for expenditures, iIn the following chart, the average value for new home permits in each of the school districts serMng the City and the entire City are shown.
