CASE #2 1995 BUSINESS APPRECIATION DAY By: 'James Gromberg, Economic Development Coordinator Background: The 1995 Business Appreciation Day has been scheduled for August 23, 1995, at the Rum River Hills golf course. Attached for your review is a sample of the proposed flyer for the event. The flyers are scheduled to be mailed the week of June 19, 1995. The intention is to follow up this mailing with phone~ calls, prior to the end of July. This should allow us plenty of time to make adjustments as to thc number of teams that will be attending. We will need to acquire door prizes for the drawing during the dinner portion of the event. In 1994, the Econom~ Development Commission donated two oversize drivers that were very popular door prizes, This year, we may wish to consider something similar. Chairperson Wagner will inform the EDC of the price and availability of these drivers at this evening's meeting. The EDC may also consider acquisition of other door prizes by EDC members. At the April meeting, it was the consensus of the members present to elect Mr. Wesley Bulen to the Hall of Fame. I halve ordered the plaque for his induction. If the Commission elects to induct another candidate, we can still make that change as the plaque maker will not be adding the name until shortly before the actual delivery. I have refrained from ordering the tee packs as they will be $4.25 per ball pack rather than the originally projected $2.55 per pack. This change was caused by the price listed being per ball instead of per pack. I have enclosed a copy of the various items that we may want to consider for the event.
