THE CITY OF RAMSEY WELCOMES <br /> COMMAND CORPORATION <br /> <br /> On Friday, October 20, 1995, the City of <br />Ramsey and Command Corporation conducted a <br />ground breaking on a 53,000 square foot <br />manufacturing facility. The new facility is located <br />at the intersection of Sunfish Lake Boulevard and <br />the newly completed McKinley Street. This new <br />building will be double the size of Command's <br />current facility located in the City of Coon Rapids. <br />"This new building will anchor the comer on the <br />north side of McKinley Street in the Business <br />Park 95 Addition and be a strong addition to our <br />business community," stated Ramsey City <br />Councilmember Ken Peterson. <br /> Command Corporation is the largest <br />manufacturer of rotating toolholders for CNC <br />machining centers in the United States. Command <br />is also the exclusive North American distributor <br />of the Urma Modular Boring System of <br />Switzerland. The company, founded in 1981, <br />currently employs over 80 people and has sales of <br />more than $16 million per year. In the next five <br />years, Command expects to expand thenew facility <br />to 100,000 square feet of space. "We found the <br />City of Ramsey a strong fit with ourplans for the <br />future," said Dean Sundquist, President of <br />Command Corporation. "This fit included the <br />ease of working with the City to complete the <br />project and their willingness to develop a long- <br />term relationship with Command." <br /> "This new facility continues the trend of <br />good, strong businesses locating in Ramsey," <br />states Ryan Schroeder, Ramsey City <br />Administrator. "Business owners who are looking <br />to grow are taking a good look at Ramsey and ail <br />the benefits it has to offer. These relationships in <br />turn provide for a natural feeling of community <br />and dedication to the community. The City <br />believes that this trend will continue well into the <br />future." <br /> <br /> TRAINING AVAILABLE FROM ANOKA/ <br /> RAMSEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE <br />The Center for Business and Industry at the Anoka <br />Ramsey Community College is an educational <br />resource available to your business. The Center for <br />Business and Industry will work with your business <br />or organization to provide the programs and services <br />that you need for your employees. They will provide <br />a needs assessment, and follow up with a <br />recommendation plan to deliver the service.
