Schroeder, City Administrator <br /> <br />Fire Chief Performance Evaluation <br /> <br />In 1994, the City restructured the hiring and promotional process for the Fire Chief <br />position. As part of that action, we discussed receipt of input from departmental personnel <br />as part of the evaluation process of the Chiefs performance. I understand that Chief <br />Kapler has requested input already on his performance from department officers. Further, <br />Dean will be having an informal discussion on department direction shortly. <br /> <br />However, prior to year-end, the formal evaluation process for the Fire Chief must be <br />completed. The form which will be used is attached for your review and input. Dean <br />supplied the importance ratings within this form. However, should you disagree with any <br />of them, please feel free to suggest changes. <br /> <br />Also, if you have process questions or suggestions, please let me know.
