CASE # 9 <br /> <br /> I~EVIEW AND ADOPT THE 1996 BUDGET CALENDAR <br /> By: Jessie L. Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: · <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Charter specifically states that a budget calendar shall be established annually by <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The attached calendar is structured a bit different than last year. As you can see, there are several <br />areas where work has already begun, newly added items, and other areas where the timing has <br />been changed. 'I}hese changes were necessary to facilitate departmental requirements and how the <br />budget process i! being approached again this year. <br /> <br />Ali of the dates indicated for County and State activities are based on the time frames from 1994. <br />We have not recOjved anything to indicate that the timing for the processes indicated will change for <br />1995. If in the future we are notified of changes in dates for these processes, an amended calendar <br />will be submitte~ for approv',d. <br /> <br />At Council's direction, the 1996 Budget Calendar was forwarded to all department heads and <br />supervisors, alor~g with the 1995 Budget Process Detail (diary), for comments, questions and <br />concerns.
