CASE #3 <br /> <br />I~ETAIL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SUCCESSFUL <br />LAWFUL GAMBLING FUND PROJECT <br /> By: Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />After receipt of two proposals for the Lawful Gambling Fund, the Commission tentatively agreed <br />to fund both proje~s to the extent that interest earnings had accrued since the program's inception, <br />but not to exceed We requested mounts. <br /> <br />Subsequent to the meeting, both applicants were advised that they may be requested to scale back <br />their project or con[sider phasing. Since that notification, the Environmental Learning Committee <br />(ELA) has withdraqvn their request, due to their already complicated 1995 agenda. <br /> <br />Patty McGerr has been notified that her project will be officially approved after the Commission <br />defines the details!and requirements associated with the project. As you will recall, there was <br />discussion about naturalizing the "oasis", with Commissioner Cook offering to review the specific <br />plan and material list. <br /> <br />Ms. McGerr pointe4:l out in her proposal that the project is somewhat dependent on tthe extension <br />of 162nd Lane N.W. into Northfork Oaks 2nd Addition. Patty acknowledged that the project <br />could be phased wiih some planting occuring in the fall rather than in spring 1995. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The purpose of this case is to specify any project details the Commission desires related to Ms. <br />McGerr's proposal.
