Brook Trail. The Lake Itasca Trail System is then intended to go straight west on a large hillside to
connect to Jarvis Street N.W. At that point, this 75 foot wide corridor will parallel Jarvis Street
south to the north side of the railroad tracks along the Links golf course and loop back to the point
of beginning at the Lake Itasca Trail with another segment continuing parallel to the railroad tracks
and also 153rd Avenue N.W. encompassing the south half of the Links golf course.

MISSISSIPPI RIVI~R TRAIL CORRIDORS

This trail corridor ~ystem, entirely south of U.S. Highway #10, parallels the Mississippi River.
There are two different routes. One is in on-road B trail corridor paralleling Riverdale Drive N.W.
The Riverdale route begins at Rivlyn Avenue N.W. and the extreme south and southeast portion of
the City of Ramsey. It is intended to connect to the City of Anoka park property, including the
large island and Critter's Grove Park. The Riverdale Drive portion will be on-road, due to pre-
existing development and then move west from that subdivision to an on road B trail at Riverdale
Drive's juncture wiflh Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. Moving westerly, the next park destination is
Riverdale Park. The trail travels along the eastern edge of the park, south to the Mississippi River.
Citizens in this area will use the trail to access this neighborhood park. Riverdale Park contains a
ballfield, play equipment and a variety of trees. Ultimately, there will be amenities such as a
drinking fountain for trail users. West of the Rivenwick subdivision, the trail enters the
Mississippi West County Park, which is projected to be a passive use area, including camping,
trails, wildlife obse~ation areas, and a future arboretum. The park also has the potential of a river
crossing affording C~onnection to the Elm Creek and Hennepin County Park and Trail System.

There will likely b~ various trail routes to traverse the breadth of Mississippi West Park. West of
the park, the trail Will again become an on-road B trail system through the Alpaca Estates
subdivision with distant views of the Mississippi River. In the area of the western border of this
subdivision, is proposed to be a neighborhood park on the Mississippi River that will occur with
further residential development. The trail will split at this point, paralleling the Mississippi River,

I$
