He stated that he works for the Hennepin Park System with thousands of acres of <br />parks and trails to connect them ail. Some of these trails exist and some do not, but they all will <br />exist eventually because they are planned for. He explained that if a line or dot isn't put on a map, <br />nothing will ever happen. He compared Ramsey's future growth to Maple Grove. He asked, "do <br />we want to have a plan, or some modge podge like the City of Fridley". If we do not plan, you <br />will not have your privacy or anywhere to even go to see trees. <br /> <br />Mr. Bruns suggested that Mr. Cook is right but expressed a concern that the wetlands are dealt <br />with properly so they are preserved, as is the wildlife. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Mayor Hardin thanked the residents for their comments and assured them that <br />they will not go unheard. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman.
