Case #4 <br /> <br />UPDATE ON THE TREE CONSERVATION POLICY <br /> By: Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you may know, City Council ratified the recommendations of the Park and Recreation <br />Commission and Staff pursuant to the May 23, 1995 City Council case you previously received. <br /> <br />Observation: <br /> <br />The purpose of this case is to discuss the process for recommending tree issues to City Council. <br />The four points below are the issues suggested to be routinely addressed within the development <br />agreement framework. <br /> <br />· RequiriOg the minimum equivalent of one 2" front yard tree for each new lot created <br />· Signific~jant individual trees and stands of trees to be identified on the grading plan for <br /> protecti6n consideration <br />· Commoj~ bury for the utilities in the road right-of-way <br />· Encouraging builders to protect saved trees, with fencing, on individual lots <br /> <br />Commission action: <br /> <br />Based upon discussion. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br /> <br />/kaj <br /> <br />P&R: 6/8/95 <br /> <br /> <br />
