Significant resources <br />located within plan~ed developments are also an important focus. Part of this goal is to encourage <br />preservation on priyate lands through development procedures and education. <br /> <br /> With these objectives in mind, the following policy statements can be made: <br /> <br />1. Prime and critiC:al natural resources throughout the city shall be defined and monitored for <br />health and potenti~ problems to preservation. <br /> <br />2. Developers shall be required to dedicate land which may include significant natural resources as <br /> <br />indicated on the comprehensive plan. <br /> <br /> 5. _C..ommunity Participation and Interaction <br /> <br /> The final g0al of the Ramsey Parks and Recreation commission is to actively strive for <br />community participation and interaction. Continuous and interaction and communication with the <br />public (both citizens and special interest groups) is essential to balanced and effective planning. <br /> <br /> With these Objectives in mind, the following public policy statements can be made: <br /> <br />1. The commission shall strive to continue and advance the public opinion outlets through <br />surveys, meetings, Personal contact, city newsletters, regional media, etc. <br /> <br />2. The comprehensive plan be easily accessible to the public. <br /> <br />Park District InVentory and Standards <br /> <br /> A. Chart ofifacilities and amenities available according to district <br /> <br /> B. Standar~ of design and equipment <br /> 1. Trail design <br /> <br /> Safety is the foremost concern of trail layout and design.
