Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-06-_ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #, RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST FRQM DON GODDEN FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />STORE COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT IN THE R-1 RURAL RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Don Godden, hereinafter <br />referred to as "Applicant", for a conditional use permit to store a semi-tractor and trailer in the R-1 <br />Rural Residential District on the property generally known as 9027 176th Avenue N.W. and <br />legally described as! follows: <br /> <br />Lot 6, Block 1, Countryside Estates, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAM~IEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant has properly applied for a conditional use permit to store a semi-tractor <br />and trailer ih the R-1 Rural Residential District. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the application is pursuant to a Code enforcement sweep ordered by the Ramsey City <br />Council. <br /> <br />That the applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9!03.04 (conditional use permits) on June 6, 1995, and that said public hearing <br />was properly, advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated <br />by reference} <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential and is approximately 1 acre in <br />size. <br /> <br />5. That the surrounding properties are also zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That Section9.11.10 (off-street parking) of the Ramsey City Code states that no more than <br />one one-ton imotor vehicle bearing a commercial license shall be parked or stored in a <br />residential district except when loading, unloading or rendering a service. <br /> <br />That the Applicant owns a semi-tractor and trailer and is requesting City approval to <br />maintain that': equipment on the subject property. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that minor rePairs and regular maintenance are performed on <br />the site and all major repairs to the equipment are performed off-site. <br /> <br />That the Applicant has stated that there will be no exterior storage of equipment or materials <br />related to the ~operation of the semi-tractor and trailer. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />That there are currently two other similar permitted conditional uses existing within the R- 1 <br />Rural Residential District (issued in 1989 and 1991). <br /> <br /> <br />
