Our checklist in- <br />cludes more items than you would ever need in <br />your community's shoreline provisions. <br /> <br />Eleven related issues of The Zoning Report <br /> <br />that touch upon aspects of shoreline regulation <br />include: May 20, June 3 and June 17, 1988 <br />(three parts): Recent trends and new tech- <br /> <br />Again, we remind you to pay attention to the <br />four US Supreme Court takings cases when <br /> <br />writing your shoreline regulations. Note that <br />all four cases somehow involve shorelines. Be <br />prepared for your public counsel to advise you <br />to scale back ambitious shoreline regulations <br />that are believed to exceed this case law. <br /> But it may be OK to write ambitious regula- <br />tions that preserve the natural character of <br />shorelines, coasts and beaches.
