Architectural Standards: City Code requires that at least 50% of the exterior facing finish of the
structure be other than metal. It is Staff's understanding that the applicant is proposing a 100%
metal exterior facing finish to be consistent with the existing structure. Due to its visibility from
Uranium Street N.W. and the heavy industrial use within the structure, Staff is recommending that
soffits and facia be applied to the existing and expanded structure and that pre-fabricated stone
panels be applied to the lower 1/3 of the north and west walls only.

Landscaping and Screening: The addition of landscaping to the site will be addressed in Phase II
of the site plan review process.

Qff$1reet Parking and Drives - Desi~ and Amount: The hardsurfacing and curbing of off-street
parking and maneuvering areas will be addressed in Phase I1 of the site plan review process. A
fair amount of the maneuvering area has already been surfaced with concrete.

Drainage: Submittal of a drainage plan will be required as part of the Phase II site plan submittal.

The Planning Commission will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 1995, at the
Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., to review the proposed site plan. A copy
of the case cover sheet is enclosed. You, or your representative, should be present at the meeting
to answer any questions that may arise.

If you have any questions, please call me at 427-1410.

Respectfully,

CITY OF RAMSEY

Sylvia Frolik
Zoning Administrator

cc: Planning Commission
