Voting No: Councilmember Zimmerman. Case #7: Public Hearing and Request for Vacation of Easement in R.A. Peltzer Addition; Case of Ramsey Town Center LLC Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:59 p.m. in order to conduct a public hearing. Public Hearing Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:59 p.m. Presentation Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon explained that the request involves vacating existing underlying easements. These easements will be replaced as necessary as each of the Ramsey Town Center outlots are replatted and developed. Ramsey Town Center has requested that the City vacate the drainage and utility easement around the perimeter of Lot 1, Block 1, R.A. Peltzer Addition. He advised that public hearing notices were published and mailed. Staff did receive a telephone call from a representative of the fight-of-way engineering department at Connexus. Apparently there are some underground and overhead utilities adjacent to County Road #56 and County Road #116. Although the plan would be to eventually replace the easements as development occurs, in this case, Staff is of the opinion that this request is premature and these particular easements should not be vacated at this time. At a later date, when the outlot is developed, the easements can be addressed at that time. Citizen Input There was Done. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to close the public hearing. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Strommen, Cook, Kurak, Pearson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None.
