Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to adopt Resolution #03- <br />09-264 Adopting Findings of Fact #0651 to Rezone Certain Property from E-1 Employment to <br />Planned Unit Development (PUD). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Cook, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberElvig. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cook, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to introduce an ordinance <br />amendment to Chapter 9 which is known as the Zoning and Subdivision of Land Chapter of the <br />City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Cook, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />Case #13: <br /> <br />Request for Final Plat Approval of Basalt Office Addition; Case of Basalt <br />Properties, LLC <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon advised that Basalt Properties LLC has <br />submitted a minor subdivision final plat as part of their development plan to construct two <br />industrial buildings on property located on Basalt Street NW, south of County Road #116. The <br />final plat is proposing to replat three separate parcels into one lot in order to facilitate the <br />development. The subject property is 2.62 acres in size and is proposed to be zoned to Planned <br />Unit Development (PUD). The PUD will allow for two principal buildings on the property and a <br />reduced rear yard setback for one of the buildings. Three lots contained in the Gateway North <br />subdivision are being proposed to be replatted into one lot. The new lot created will be 2.62 <br />acres which exceeds the one-acre minimum lot size requirement and the 200-foot lot width <br />requirement. City Staff recommends final plat approval subject to the City Staff Review Letter <br />dated September 19, 2003, and the developer entering into a development agreement with the <br />City. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to adopt Resolution <br />#03-09-265 Granting Final Plat Approval to Basalt Office Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Strommen, Cook, <br />Pearson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig. <br /> <br />Case #14: Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Basalt Properties, LLC <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon advised that Basalt Properties, LLC has <br />submitted a site plan to develop two commercial buildings on 2.62 acres along Basalt Street NW, <br />south of Highway 116. The subject properties cun'ently consist of three separate parcels platted <br />as Gateway North. As part of the development, the City is processing a minor subdivision to <br />combine the three lots and a Platmed Unit Development zoning request to allow for two principal <br />buildings on the property and for a smaller rear yard setback for one of the buildings.
