Case #5.2: Acknowledge Park Dedication and Trail Fees for the Proposed Stoney River <br />Memory Care /Assisted Living Facility <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood reviewed this is an update on the park and trail dedication the <br />Commission had recommended previously and that staff has routed this matter directly to the <br />Planning Commission with the logical park and trail fee requirements. <br />Commissioner Shryock stated the trail connection along County Road 5 is an important trail <br />connection. <br />Case #5.3: Recommend to City Council to apply for Federal Transportation <br />Enhancement Funding — Mississippi River Trail <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood wanted to report to the Commission that he received a letter from <br />Anoka County stating that they are committing to $300,000 for year 2016 to local match for this <br />million dollar project. <br />Motion by Commissioner Minke, seconded by Commissioner Bennett to recommend to City <br />Council that staff be authorized to apply for Federal funding for the Mississippi River Trail. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Shryock, Commissioners Bennett, Chubb, Fyten, and <br />Minke. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Barr and Olsen. <br />COMMISSION /STAFF INPUT <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood discussed the four Safe Routes to School programs and that priority <br />one is the connection from Sunwood Drive to the Ramsey Elementary school. Priority two is <br />south of Sunfish Lake Park.
