Community Action Program has as its mission to assist low and moderate <br /> <br />income residents become or remain economically self-sufficient. Its programs, which <br /> <br />are community based in nature, include Energy Assistance, Weatherization, Senior Outre~ <br /> <br />and Senior Companion, Childcare Resource and Referral, Home O%mership Counseling, <br /> <br />Surolus Food Commodities, Housing Programs, and Head Start. ACCAY is a private, <br /> <br />non-orofit corporation which is governed by a board representing the low-income <br /> <br />sector, corporate sector, government sector, an'd":the community at large. ACCAP's <br /> <br />administrative offices are at the Human Service Center of Anoka County, although <br /> <br />many pro,rams are run throughout Anoka County.
