Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-02- RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1994 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS WHERE4iS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developmeht; and WHERE/kS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from Anoka County; anal WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a 1994 CDBG allocation in the amount of $33,859.00 for CI~BG projects; and WHEREAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include projects that have been determined to bcnt~fit low and moderate income persons, handi, capped persons, senior citizens, to rehabilitate areas 6f slum and blight, and for planning purposes; and WHERE~S, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public hca_ring on Tuesday, January 25, 1994, regarding the use of 1994 allocations. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for 1994 Community Developme~nt Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: Storm Water Manag~aent Plan Update Hard SurfaCe Paths at Central Park Amount $13,859.00 $20,000.00 2) That a coliY of this resolution, the public hearing notice and the preliminary project applicafion~request form be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Adminislxator. The motion for theiadoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following xJoted against the same: and the following ~stained: and the following Were absent: whereupon said re~lution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of Feb~ary, 1994.
