ORDINANCE # 03- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 2.03, <br /> BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />An ordinance to amend Chapter 2.03 of the City Code, titled "Boards and Commissions" <br />SECTION 1. Amendment <br /> <br />"Unexcused Absences" is repealed and replaced with "Attendance Policy". <br /> <br />Section 2.03 Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />Section 2.03.02 Appointment of Members, Terms of Office and Removal <br />Subdivision 5. Unexcused Absences <br /> <br />"Unexcused Absences" is hereby repealed and replaced by the following text: <br /> 'Attendance Policy <br /> <br /> The absence of a Board or Commission member from three or more <br /> <br />regu. larly scheduled meetings of his/her board or commission within <br />~any six (6) month period shall be cause for removal of that member <br />ifrom his or her seat on the board or commission. The City Council <br /> <br />shall have the authority to remove board or commission members for <br />~violation of this provision. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Summary <br /> <br />This new ordnance authorizes the City Council to remove a board or commission <br />member from ihis or her seat on a board or commission after three absences from <br />regularly scheduled meetings in a six (6) month period. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Effective Date <br /> <br />This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and (30) days after its publication <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> <br />
