Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon noted they are creating a special service <br />district for businesses that do not have to provide parking. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer asked if a fair number of structures are built but the ramps have not yet <br />been built, will there be adequate parking. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobson stated that is all being worked into the development agreement. They will have a <br />clear understanding of that before they go into anything. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer asked if the proposed hotel would supply their own parking or use the City <br />ramp. <br /> <br />Mr. Jacobson stated he could not answer that yet, but assured the Commission the hotel would <br />not come until the parking was worked out. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked about the civic component. He questioned if there were plans in <br />place. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon stated discussions have taken place. The <br />City Council has the desire to relocate to the Town Center, but has not decided how or where and <br />there are many other decisions the City Council would need to address. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson indicated he feels it is important that they do relocate. He stated when <br />they built a courthouse in downtown Anoka, they guaranteed the survival of downtown Anoka. <br />He believes the civic presence is very important. <br /> <br />It was determined comments would be returned to Mr. Jacobson by Monday, September 8th. <br /> <br />Case #13 Zoning Bulletin <br /> <br />The Zoning Bulletin was noted. <br /> <br />OTHER COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt indicated he would be unavailable for the November 6th meeting. He also <br />noted that at the next meeting he would be asking for a volunteer for Vice Chairperson. <br /> <br />It was noted there will be a special meeting on September 15, 2003. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated there could be another meeting <br />in September.
