CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Wednesday, October 1, <br />2003, at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:53 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) 2004 Budget <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman stated that the purpose of the discussion was for staff to review the <br />administration and: finance budgets and have some general discussion about the budget. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson reviewed the Mayor/Council budget explaining that there <br />were not a lot of changes in that budget. She noted that the one area the Council should discuss <br />is if they should continue to budget for Council dinners. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig inquired if it was possible to start meetings at 7:00 p.m. rather than 5:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/October 1, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
